I Lawrence Orpen of Rivenhall in the County of Essex Farmer hereby revoke all Wills Codicils and other testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me and declare this to be my last Will and Testament. I desire to be buried in the same grave with the members of my family who have died or who may die before me or as near to the same as circumstances will admit. I bequeath to my Wife Mary Orpen the sum of Twenty pounds to be paid to her within one calendar month after my death. I bequeath to my Son John Lawrence Orpen the sum of Five pounds to be paid to him within six calendar months after my death and I direct the Trustees or Trustee for the time being of this my Will to provide the said John Lawrence Orpen with such a suit of mourning as they shall think reasonable. I bequeath to my Daughter Eliza Ann Bourne a picture and music stool worked by my late Wife. I bequeath an Annuity of Eighty pounds to my said Wife and her assigns as long as she shall continue my Widow to be considered as accruing from day to day and to be paid by equal quarterly payments the first of such payments to be made at the expiration of three calendar months after my death. I bequeath to my Son Samuel Orpen if not at my death outlawed or an uncertificated bankrupt or through his own act or default or by operation or process of law or otherwise discredited personally to receive and enjoy the same an annuity after the rate of Twelve shillings weekly to be paid on the Saturday in every week during his life or until he shall be outlawed or become a Bankrupt or shall assign charge or incumber or attempt or effect to assign charge or incumber the same or shall through his own act or default or by operation or process of law become disentitled personally to receive the same. I authorize and empower the Trustees or Trustee for the time being of this my Will to carry on my farming business during the residue of the term or terms for which I shall hold any farm or farms at the time of my death with full power to discontinue the same when they or he shall think fit so to do. And also to carry on any other business in which I may be engaged at the time of my death so long as they or he shall think fit. And I empower the said Trustees or Trustee for the time being to use as capital in carrying on any of the said businesses such part of parts of my estate and effects as they or he shall think desirable and to employ such bailiffs servants and labourers at such salaries and wages as they or he may think proper and so do all things which may be necessary or expedient for carrying on the said business with the most unlimited discretion. And I direct my said Trustees or Trustee so long as they shall carry on my said farming business to permit my said Wife during her Widowhood to occupy the house in which I now reside without paying any rent for the same and to provide and keep at the expense of my estate a pony and chaise for the use of my said Wife so long as she shall continue my Widow and to find and provide her with vegetables out of the Garden attached to the said House. And I declare that the net profits to arise from carrying on my said businesses shall be applicable as if the same were income arising from my residuary estate. I give devise and bequeath all the residue of my real and personal estate ‎(including therein real and personal estate over which I may have a general power of disposition by Will)‎ unto my Sons William Walter Orpen, Robert Orpen and Daniel Orpen their heirs executors and administrators respectively. Upon trust that they the said William Walter Orpen, Robert Orpen and Daniel Orpen or their survivors or survivor of them or the heirs executors or administrators respectively of such survivor shall sell call in and convert the same into money in such manner as they or he shall think proper. And shall by and out of the monies to arise from such calling in sale and conversion pay all my debts funeral and testamentary expenses and all pecuniary legacies bequeathed by this my Will or any Codicil hereto And shall invest so much of the residue of such monies as shall be requisite to answer and satisfy the annuities hereinbefore given and bequeathed in the names or name of the said Trustees or Trustee for the time being of this my Will in any of the Government funds of Great Britain or on mortgage of freehold or copyhold securities And shall stand possessed of the residue of such monies and also of the sums of money so to be invested as aforesaid as and when the said annuities shall respectively cease to be payable In trust for my children the said William Walter Orpen, Robert Orpen, Daniel Orpen, Samuel Orpen, Eliza Ann Bourne and Mary Orpen in equal shares as tenants in common my said Daughter Eliza Ann Bourne bringing into hotchpot and accounting for the sum of Four hundred pounds which I have advanced to or for her use or benefit. And I hereby appoint my said Sons William Walter Orpen, Robert Orpen and Daniel Orpen Executors of this my Will with all the powers conferred upon that Office by the Statutes 23 and 24 of Victoria Chapter 145. I devise all the freehold and copyhold hereditaments which at my death shall be vested in me as Trustee or Mortgage for any estate whatever unto the said William Walter Orpen, Robert Orpen and Daniel Orpen and their heirs subject to the trusts and equities affecting the same respectively. In Witness whereof I the said Lawrence Orpen the Testator have hereunto set my hand this fifth day of April One thousand eight hundred and sixty five.

Signed by the said Lawrence Orpen the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other all present at the same time have hereunto set our names as Witnesses.

Proved at Ipswich the 15th day of August 1874 by the oaths of William Walter Orpen and Robert Orpen the Sons two of the Executors to whom Admon was granted Power reserved of making the like Grant to Daniel Orpen the Son also the other Executor.
The Testator Lawrence Orpen was late of Rivenhall in the County of Essex Farmer and died on the 24th day of May 1874 at Rivenhall aforesaid.
